Description:

Sales Manager required for one of the UK’s leading supplier of road fuel supplying
supermarkets, major oil companies, forecourts and commercial users.

Due to expansion we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager for the UK road fuels team. This
role would suit someone with previous fuel industry experience and a proven track record.

In the role you would have accountability for results delivery and profitable growth. The role
would suit someone who is inquisitive, analytical, commercial, with excellent people
management capabilities.

In the role you would manage 6 staff who are tasked with spot trading and running tenders
for major fuel contracts. This will involve close management of strategy, KPI and
performances against plan, whilst having the required people skills to keep staff highly
motivated, energised and proactive.

Another key part of the role will focus on commercial work, including winning and retaining
national account business, managing p&l of customer accounts, understanding operational,
supply chain, legal requirements for a smooth-running contract and relationship with
customers.

Finally, analytical and strategic ability is a key requirement. You will be able to analyse
complex numbers and work out why and where gaps exist then have the ability to create
strategy to fill that gap. This could be for example, a new product offer, new market, new
geographic territory or other areas for profitable growth. Keeping ahead of the market is a
key factor in their success to date.
