Business Sector Manager (BSM) – Industrial Lubricants




€80-€100K Base


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Sector Manager within the industrial lubricants market. This role is comprised of 3 elements:

Business Sector Expertise
Operational Business Piloting
Corporate Account Coordination

The candidate is required to be familiar with (mostly) metal working, treatment and transformation processes within one or more segment listed below:

Automotive OEM landscape, technical requirements & commercial decision making
Auto-Component Industry (tier 1-3), technical / commercial decision making
Fastener industry
Electronics industry
Aeronautic industry
Medical equipment industry
Wire & cables industry
Tube industry
High Pressure Die Casting industry
Aluminium Extrusion industry
Heat treatment industry
Plastic injection industry
Other industrial segments such as bearings, pumps, armament

The Business Sector Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Observing technological development & trends, sharing these with the company’s technology experts & influencing the company’s technical development activity
• Executing continuous market & competitor analysis
• Regularly reviewing & reporting company’s BS positioning (w.r. to technology and market)
• Developing and sharing inside/outside company BS success stories
• Reporting to the Head of Business (Industrial).
• Closely cooperating with and providing leadership to the management, the industrial sales & support teams of the BUs, affiliates, partners
• Specifying supply chain requirements and coordinating with company’s stake holders
• Co-ordinating supra regional KAM activity (ensuring coherence of commercial offer, especially with regards to price & condition policy)
• Co-operating & leading a network of regional KAMs
• Sharing KAM related technical / commercial information with company’s technology & technical support experts ensuring a sustained KAM positioning as well as support package

The applicant will have the following:


• Master Degree in mechanical / chemical engineering
• Alternatively, Master degree in Business with strong technical experience
• Min 5 years of experience within industrial lubricants or similar industries as a technical expert, KAM, senior product manager, sales- / application engineer or equivalent backgrounds

• Ready to travel frequently
• Familiar with MS Office, SAP and a relevant CRM system
• Fluent in English, oral & written (a supplementary foreign language is a plus)
